We’re already gearing up for our next London Theatre tour, now scheduled January 7-17, 2010.   It’s too early to tell exactly what we’ll see, but we promise to choose 6 of the very best new shows in town. We will again stay in the Thistle Trafalgar, a fine hotel right in the heart of the west end, within easy walking distance of most theaters, the National Gallery, Trafalgar Square, and the Thames.  We’ll manage a short expedition to some very special place just out of town, we’ll invite a few very special guests (past visitors have included Janet McTeer, Michael Frayn, and Simon Russell Beale). We’ll arrange a special dinner at a very good restaurant with a lovely room in one of London’s most famous restaurants.  There’s plenty to time to take in all the museums, galleries, exhibitions and concerts that flood the city at this time of year.  And best of all, the London Tour attracts wonderful people who get to know each other and talk to each other. 

Each morning Murray Ross, our Artistic Director, will preview the evening’s show and lead a group discussion of what we’ve seen.  For many these gatherings are what make this unbeatable tour so very special.

London, as we all know, is an expensive city, but we do our very best to make the tour reasonable.  It’s not cheap --- but it’s also a bargain!

• Please understand that the cost of the tour less the estimated fair market value of the goods and services received is a contribution to UCCS/THEATREWORKS and may be tax deductible. It is estimated that the contribution will be $500 per person.  This contribution is considered unrestricted and will be used to further the activities of  THEATREWORKS which include, but are not limited to, funding THEATREWORKS activities, administrative overhead, entertainment and donor appreciation functions (food, beverage, alcohol), etc. The University of Colorado is a not-for-profit organization-Tax ID #84-6000555.

Academics

All students on this tour must be enrolled in VAPA 390 either through UCCS regular enrollment or through the LAS Department of Extended Studies. 

How to Enroll in the Course

1. Deposit  - Click here to make your $500 non-refundable deposit to secure your place on the trip or mail your deposit with the Registration Form
2. Registration Form -Complete the registration form found here
3. Enroll in VAPA 390 - If you are regularly enrolled student at UCCS enroll as you would any Spring course.  If you are not a regularly enrolled student at UCCS please visit the LAS Extended Studies websit and register for the class there.
